Task 1: PV WE CLASS 14-One Step Away from PV Parity Era & Diversity of Distributed PV

Location: Kerry Hotel (3rd Floor, Function Room 3), Pudong, Shanghai, China

Date & Time: 29 May 2018, 09:00 - 11:50

Description: To our surprise, as the classical case of distributed PV, there years later, Solar Impulse II aviator, Bertrand Picard, is going to SNEC with “World Alliance for Efficient Solutions” again. In 2015, the world's largest and most advanced solar-powered aircraft- “Solar Impulse II" completed a first for energy in human history, without spending a single drop of fuel, and relying entirely on solar energy to carry out feats of continuous round-the-clock flying around the world. They are assisting entrepreneurs who brewing clean energy technology solutions in start-up companies or R&D labs to be discovered, identified and implemented at the industry level.

Webinar by Task 15: Investigating Business Models for Building Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV)

Organized by Leonardo Energy

Date & Time : 6 September 2018 @ 13:00 CEST (check your local time)

Duration: 1h

Speakers: Michiel Ritzen (Zuyd Hogeschool) , Philippe Macé (Becquerel Institute)

Description: Solar cells (photovoltaics, PV) for electricity generation is forecasted to become one of the main contributors in the future energy system. Better building integration of PV (BIPV) is desired for aesthetical reasons and potentially also for cost savings. As of now, BIPV is generally more expensive than ordinary building applied PV installations (BAPV) or regular building components, which means there is a need to include other values in BIPV business models. This webinar presents the results from an inventory of existing business models and case studies, performed within the work of IEA-PVPS Task 15.
