This Recommended Practice Guide is intended to provide input to programme developers considering implementing support programmes based on PV systems for rural electrification. It sets out to highlight critical factors that must be given due attention during project preparation and design as well as practical suggestions for carrying the plan through to implementation. It also addresses monitoring and evaluation considerations for assessing performance and impact throughout and after completing the programme.
