Workshop Overview:

The IEA PVPS Task 13 workshop at the EU PVSEC Conference 2024 will provide an overview of recent research and industrial experience on energy yield modeling, reliability, and operations and maintenance (O&M) of Floating PV (FPV) power plants. Participants will receive concrete and quantitative recommendations on modeling the yield of different FPV technologies, including updates on expected operating temperatures for FPV systems.

The workshop will also provide a review of the stressors that can affect FPV systems, along with existing knowledge and gaps regarding the reliability of inland FPV systems. The session will conclude with an overview of mainstream practices, guidelines, cost aspects, and challenges in O&M for FPV.

Session Schedule:

  • 15:15 – 15:18: Introduction of the IEA PVPS Task 13
