Date: Monday, 16 November 2026
Time: 15:00–18:00 (KST)
Location: WCPEC-9, Daejeon, Republic of Korea, Room 106

Participation: Open to all WCPEC-9 attendees

About the Workshop

Asia plays a central role in the global PV market, with countries across the region experiencing different market developments, policy approaches and deployment opportunities.

Since 1993, the IEA Photovoltaic Power Systems Programme (IEA PVPS) has fostered international collaboration on PV research and development, providing impartial and reliable information on PV technologies, markets, policies and applications.

Organised jointly by IEA PVPS and WCPEC-9, this workshop brings together experts and stakeholders to explore global and Asian PV market trends, exchange insights into national markets and regulatory frameworks, and discuss future deployment prospects and opportunities for international cooperation.

The programme includes an overview of Asian PV market trends, followed by country presentations from China, Malaysia, India, Indonesia, Pakistan, the Philippines and Mongolia. A panel discussion will provide an opportunity to exchange perspectives on market developments, policy challenges and future opportunities for PV deployment across the region.
