Course Description

This training provides participants with a comprehensive introduction to Building-Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV) and solar architecture, examining the architectural, technical, and economic factors that shape feasibility and design decisions. The program aims to strengthen interdisciplinary competencies, bridging architectural design and solar technology through interactive and applied learning.

Led scientifically by the SUPSI BIPV group and featuring contributions from IEA PVPS and other international experts, the course adopts a practice-oriented approach rooted in real-world experience. Rather than focusing on academic or theoretical aspects, it provides concrete insights into problem-solving strategies, clarifying the roles and responsibilities of key stakeholders through EU and international case studies of major pilot and built projects.

Participants gain a multidimensional perspective, along with direct exchange and contacts with experts,encompassing architecture, construction technology, process management, market dynamics, and industry development offering lessons and methodologies that are directly applicable to dynamic and rapidly evolving markets such as the Middle East.
